Water Dreaming Coffee Sack Tote

Coffee waste is at an all time high alongside coffee consumption. While searching for ways to reduce general waste I recently became aware of the waste involved in coffee roasting – piles upon piles of hessian coffee sacks!

These jute sacks are long lasting and perfect for tote bags. I couldn’t just let them sit there and the artist in me couldn’t pass up the design possibilities!

First Nations Peoples are all about adaptation, adjusting, surviving and are naturally sustainable, so it made sense to me to pair FN designs with upcycling Hessian coffee sacks.

This is a match made in heaven – durability without compromising on aesthetics; and the mitigation of coffee waste!

This single commissioned tote will be the first of many options to come.
